Star Wars Memorabilia

A well-known publication determined that the Star Wars movies, from the actual time that it started off in the late 1970's, had produced greater than something like 20 billion dollars in sales revenue, and with 6 big screen success stories, no less than 3 spin-off motion pictures, five licensed tv shows, along with a large number of books, comic books, as well as games, it's no surprise.

What could possibly be a shock, though, is that when Star Wars creator George Lucas finished the very first movie, he was over-budget, out of time, and additionally convinced the film would be a bomb. Early screenings of the movie did very little to boost Lucas' ideas that the actual film would be any type of success, but when it was finally released during the summer of 1977, the motion picture earned practically 7 million dollars in the first weekend.

It's reckoned to be the 2nd highest lucrative film ever. As you can probably picture, the Star Wars toy and merchandise franchise has grown considerably since the Christmas of 1977. Via extra Star Wars action figures to space ships, play sets, and light-sabers, the classic Star Wars toy marketplace had every thing. As Episodes V along with VI were launched, even more toys hit the marketplace. T-shirts, bedsheets, toothbrushes, hair combs, along with watches were all part of the marketing campaign too. Following the launch of Return of the Jedi, though, the actual Star Wars marketing machine slowed down significantly.

People seemed to think the Star Wars marketplace was approaching the end. Even so, in the later 1990s, a fresh line of Star Wars action figures was released. Dubbed "The Power of the Force" series, these green carded figures created a totally new generation of enthusiasts, and with the release of the special edition of the original trilogy, as well as the future release of Star Wars Episode I to III, the actual marketing machine kicked back into top gear.

Nowadays there's a huge amount of rare Star Wars memorabilia available for modern day collectors. A great deal of the Star Wars movie memorabilia available can be effortlessly found on craigslist and ebay.
