If you thought the Nintendo wii gaming console was good, You're going to absolutely adore Kinect!

When Nintendo came up with the Wii console it took the video gaming universe by storm. It opened up the world of computer gaming to anyone. By means of holding a super easy controller and swinging it just like a tennis racket you were able to instantaneously play tennis games on the Wii console.

There were absolutely no complex buttons to understand or even weird joystick actions which meant it was simply reachable to first-time video gamers, both old and young. At present, Microsofts new Kinect games platform takes things a step forward for the reason that now there is absolutely no controller in any way!

The actual Wii was innovative however Microsoft Kinect takes things further. Just like the Wii console, Kinect works by using a scanning system that rests over your Telly.

The difference is though; Kinect scans your body and picks up your own motions, which translates to mean there’s no need to even carry a controller in your own hands. When you wish to choose anything from the actual onscreen menus all you need to do is actually lift your hand and motion which icon you desire to select.  If you’re playing a racing video game you simply place your hands as if you were holding a steering wheel!

There is no need to actually purchase an extra steering wheel add-on! In case the state-of-the-art movement technology employed in kinect is not astonishing enough, how about voice recognition as well? Yes, believe it or not, Kinect is able to recognize speech instructions by using state-of-the-art speech recognition software.

It appears Microsoft’s brand new piece of kit is set to alter the face of video games once and for all. As it is an add-on  for the Xbox 360 it requires the new Xbox 360 console too. The cost remains undisclosed because Xbox Kinect isn’t due for release until October 2010.
